has worked in the recruitment sector for nearly 30 years with particular
expertise in professional practices such as IT and Engineering. He has
extensive knowledge of running multi-sited operations across international
markets along with the provision of managed service and recruitment process
outsourced solutions. His industry career started at Reed where he rose through
the ranks to ultimately run the IT recruitment business for more than five
years. He then moved to TheSkillsMarket and experienced a very different side
of the industry as the business supplied CV processing and skills updating
services to many well-known recruitment companies.
joined Volt in 2006 and was appointed Managing Director for Europe and Asia in
2010. He has been elected to serve on the Representative Committee of
trade association APSCo on four separate occasions, serving as Chair of the
Committee in 2009 when ATSCo and FPR merged to become APSCo. He lives in
Guildford, Surrey and is married with two children.
Julie was appointed Operations Director for Volt’s EMEA Managed Service Programmes in 2010, having originally joined the company in 1990. She is responsible for the Sales Strategy for new business, implementation and delivery of managed programmes, providing contract placements, permanent placements and Statement of Works (SOWs) to clients globally, via Managed Service Programme (MSP) and Recruitment Process Outsourcing (RPO) solutions. She has been instrumental in enabling Volt’s clients to expand their operations in new territories across Europe, meeting the challenges of introducing structured programmes and services in different cultural, legal and social environments.
As a Six Sigma Green Belt and Six Sigma Project Champion, Julie is focused on driving continuous improvement and ongoing process efficiencies for Volt’s clients, whilst ensuring they benefit from full visibility and accountability in their hiring strategies.
Francois joined Volt in October 2013 as Finance Director - International. With more than 20 years’ experience of financial roles in a multinational environment, he has covered operations spreading from California to New Zealand, and Norway to South Africa.
He started his career in France before moving to the UK after a short spell in the US, and also worked for three years in the Netherlands. Francois gained exposure to the recruitment industry as the CFO for Europe at Monster, where he was a key contributor to a large-scale expansion across Europe, and also took responsibility for the staffing and executive search divisions of the group in southern Europe.
Francois has a passion for managing change and challenging situations in multinational fast paced environments. His favourite quote is from Seneca: "If a man does not know to which port he is sailing, no wind is favourable to him."
